A rare untold story
Directed by the Cheeni Kum fame R. Balki, ‘Paa’ tells a story of a boy who is ageing fast. The film features Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan. Unlike real life, the film portrays Amitabh as Abhishek’s son. In the movie Big B suffers from Progeria, a rare congenital abnormal condition where a person ages rapidly. Paa explores the emotional father-son relationship with this ailment as the backdrop.
The trailer of the film shows Amitabh as “The child sensation of the year.”
STORY
Auro (Amitabh Bachchan) is an intelligent, witty 13-year-old boy with an extremely rare genetic defect that causes accelerated ageing.
He suffers from a progeria like syndrome. Mentally he is 13, very normal, but physically he looks 5 times older. In spite of his condition, Auro is a very happy boy. He lives with his mother Vidya (Vidya Balan), who is gynaecologist.
Amol Arte (Abhishek Bachchan) is young politician who is progressive and full of ideas. He is out to prove to the world that ‘politics’ is not a bad word. He is a man with a mission. Auro is Amol’s son.
Paa is a ‘rare’ story about a father-son-son-father relationship.
